Lucasuchus hunti
Taxonomy
Lucasuchus hunti was named by Long and Murry (1995). Its type specimen is TMM 31100-257, an osteoderm (paramedian plate), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Otis Chalk Quarry 3, TMM 31100, which is in a Carnian/Norian crevasse splay mudstone in the Colorado City Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Lucasuchus.
