Taxonomy
Megalancosaurus endennae was named by Renesto et al. (2010). Its type specimen is MBSN 25, a partial skeleton (Partial postcranial skeleton), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Endenna cave, which is in an Alaunian shallow subtidal limestone/marl in the Zorzino Limestone Formation of Italy.
