Laggania was named by Walcott (1911). It is not extant. Its type is Laggania cambria.

It was synonymized subjectively with Peytoia by Conway Morris (1978); it was misspelled as Laggani by Sepkoski (2002) and Daley and Budd (2010).

It was assigned to Radiodonta by Sepkoski (2002) and Daley and Budd (2010).
