Koreanosaurus boseongensis
Taxonomy
Koreanosaurus boseongensis was named by Huh et al. (2011). Its type specimen is KDRC-BB2, a set of postcrania, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Boseong Bibong-ri Dinosaur Egg Site 5, which is in a Campanian alluvial fan mudstone/sandstone in the Seonso Conglomerate Formation of South Korea.

Elongated anterior cervicals: ratio ‘maximum length from pre-to postzygapophyses/transverse width across postzygapohyses’ about 2.7 for cervicals 4 and 5; blade-like keel on ventral surface of all cervical centra, sharp ventral keel on centra of at least the first seven dorsals (also in Oryctodromeus and Orodromeus); fused scapulocoracoid plate (also in Oryctodromeus); highly-keeled posterior border of proximal ulna (also in Orodromeus); femoral head and shaft forming an obtuse 135° angle; femoral head anteroposteriorly elongated; low hindlimb ratio of 1.07 for tibia/femur. |
