It was corrected as Tropitaceae by Astakhova (1971), Tozer (1979), Tatzreiter (1981), Tozer (1981) and Tozer (1994).

It was assigned to Ammonoidea by Smith (1927); to Trachyceratina by Tatzreiter (1981); and to Ceratitida by Astakhova (1971), Tozer (1979), Tozer (1981) and Tozer (1994).
