Taxonomy
Solariella walkeri was named by Squires (2008). Its type specimen is LACMIP 13414, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP Loc. 17848 - Elsmere Canyon [Juncal Fm], which is in an Eocene submarine fan sandstone in the Juncal Formation of California.
