Neoflabellina was named by Bartenstein (1948) [Sepkoski's age data: K Turo-u T Dani]. It was considered unknown by Loeblich and Tappan (1987).

It was assigned to Palmulinae by Loeblich and Tappan (1987); and to Foraminiferida by Sepkoski (2002).

Tappan 1987Test large, up to 5 mm in length and 1.8 mm in breadth, palmate to rhomboid in outline, flattened, with subparallel sides and truncate margins that may be carinate, early chambers in a planispiral coil, later flaring and astacoline, finally uniserial and rectilinear with very broad and low inverted V-shaped chambers, sutures thickened and elevated; wall calcareous, perforate radial, surface ornamented with coarse perforations and elevated sutures that may break up into nodes; aperture terminal, radiate. U. Cretaceous to Paleocene; cosmopolitan.
