Taxonomy
Parafallotaspis was named by Fritz (1972) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-l Sepkoski's reference number: 475]. It is not extant. Its type is Parafallotaspis grata.

It was assigned to Fallotaspidinae by Palmer and Repina (1993); to Fallotaspididae by Whittington et al. (1997); and to Olenellida by Sepkoski (2002).
