Bergamia was named by Whittard (1955) [Sepkoski's age data: O Aren-l O Cara-l Sepkoski's reference number: 378,795]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Trinucleidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Asaphida by Sepkoski (2002).
