Gobiconodon hoburensis
Taxonomy
Guchinodon hoburensis was named by Trofimov (1978). Its type specimen is PIN 3101/24, a mandible (partial right lower jaw), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khovboor (PIN coll. 3101) [SMPE], which is in an Aptian/Albian lacustrine sandstone/claystone in the Dzunbain Formation of Mongolia.
It was recombined as Gobiconodon hoburensis by Kielan-Jaworowska and Dashzeveg (1998), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004) and Kusuhashi et al. (2016).
