Taxonomy
Bapingaspis was named by Yuan (1988) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fras-u D Fame-u Sepkoski's reference number: 802]. It is not extant. Its type is Bapingaspis bapingensis.
It was assigned to Proetida by Sepkoski (2002); to Proetidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Drevermanniinae by Basse (2007).
