Ventastega curonica
Taxonomy
Ventastega curonica was named by Ahlberg et al. (1994). Its type specimen is LDM 81/521, a mandible (left mandibular ramus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pavari, Ciecere river, which is in a Famennian fluvial sandstone/marl in the Ketleri Formation of Latvia. It is the type species of Ventastega.
