Pseudouvigerina was named by Cushman (1927) [Sepkoski's age data: K Camp-u K Maes-u]. It is extant. It was considered unknown by Loeblich and Tappan (1987).

It was assigned to Eouvigerininae by Cushman (1927); to Turrilinidae by Loeblich and Tappan (1987); and to Foraminiferida by Sepkoski (2002).
