Taxonomy
Strombina chiriquiensis was named by Olsson (1922). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Pyrene (Strombina) chiriquiensis by Oinomikado (1939); it was recombined as Strombina (Sincola) chiriquiensis by Woodring (1964); it was recombined as Sincola (Sincola) chiriquiensis by Jung (1989).
