Columbella haitensis was named by Sowerby (1850) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Dominican Republic.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Anachis haitensis by Dall (1903); it was recombined as Strombina haitensis by Maury (1917); it was recombined as Costoanachis haitensis by Jung (1989).
