Taxonomy
Crassicymatium crassicordatum was named by Beu (2010). Its type specimen is SGO.PI 5839, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Navidad Fm: Matanzas, which is in a Miocene marine siltstone in the Navidad Formation of Chile.
