Taxonomy
Alcoveria brevis was named by Beltan (1972). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Montral and Alcover Quarries (MSB), which is in a Ladinian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite in the Muschelkalk Formation of Spain.
