Prokalotermes hagenii

Taxonomy
Parotermes hagenii was named by Scudder (1883). Its type specimen is MCZ 266, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant (MCZ Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Prokalotermes.

It was recombined as Prokalotermes hageni by Emerson (1933), Emerson (1969), Nel and Paicheler (1993) and Fontes and Vulcano (1998); it was recombined as Prokalotermes hagenii by Snyder (1949) and Krishna et al. (2013).
