Taxonomy
Petrochorista dubia was named by Martynov (1932). Its type specimen is PIN 2334/66, a wing (fore & hindwing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Soyana (PIN collection 2334), which is in a Roadian lagoonal sandstone in the Iva-Gora Beds Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Petromantis dubia by Novokshonov (1997).
