Borgia proavus
Taxonomy
Ascalaphus proavus was named by Hagen (1858). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Stöschen near Linz, which is in a Chattian lacustrine lignite in Austria.
It was recombined as Borgia proavus by Navás (1913), Nel (1991) and Engel and Grimaldi (2007).
