Taxonomy
Obdurodon tharalkooschild was named by Pian et al. (2013). Its type specimen is QM F56252, a tooth (Lm1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Two Trees Site, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in Australia.
