Taxonomy
Anomia biloba was named by Linnaeus (1758).

It was recombined as Spirifer biloba by Sharpe (1847); it was recombined as Spirifer bilobus by Hall (1852); it was recombined as Orthis biloba by Lindström (1861) and Davidson (1869); it was recombined as Dicoelosia biloba by Wright (1968), Bassett and Cocks (1974), Mitchell (1977), Jin and Chatterton (1997) and Huang et al. (2013).
