Taxonomy
Platystrophia trentonensis was named by McEwan (1919) [= Platystrophia biforata Grabau & Shimer 1903. North American Index Fossils, vol. 1, 1903, p. 258; Cummings 1903 Amer. Journ. Sci, aero 4, vol. 16, p. 41.]. Its type specimen is U.S.N.M. 39052, 66097 and is a 3D body fossil.
