Taxonomy
Ammonites duelmensis was named by Schluter (1872). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dülmen (Schlüter collection), which is in a Campanian marine sandstone in the Dülmener Schichten Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Pachydiscus (Pachydiscus) duelmensis by Kennedy (1986) and Kennedy and Kaplan (1995).
