Isochirotherium coureli
Taxonomy
Chirotherium coureli was named by Demathieu (1970). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is 21.1 FY, GGPD coll., a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Chasselay tracksite, level Y (BQ), which is in an Anisian/Ladinian terrestrial horizon in the Grès Inférieurs du Lyonnais Formation of France.
It was misspelled as Isochirotherium conreli by Haubold (1974); it was recombined as Isochirotherium coureli by Haubold (1971), Demathieu and Haubold (1972), Courel and Demathieu (1976), Demathieu (1985), Courel and Demathieu (1995), Demathieu and Demathieu (2004), Gand et al. (2007), Klein et al. (2011), Gand et al. (2012) and Klein and Lucas (2021).
It was misspelled as Isochirotherium conreli by Haubold (1974); it was recombined as Isochirotherium coureli by Haubold (1971), Demathieu and Haubold (1972), Courel and Demathieu (1976), Demathieu (1985), Courel and Demathieu (1995), Demathieu and Demathieu (2004), Gand et al.
