Carodnia inexpectans

Taxonomy
Carodnia inexpectans was named by Antoine et al. (2015). Its type specimen is MUSM-2025, a mandible (a fragmentary right dentary with m2 and m3 and the alveoli of m1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quebrada Cabeza de Vaca, which is in an Eocene fluvial sandstone in the Mogollón Formation of Peru.
