Prototherium ausetanum
Taxonomy
Prototherium ausetanum was named by Balaguer and Alba (2016). Its type specimen is IPS81881a, a partial skeleton (Partial skull associated with 45 unprepared fragmentary postcranial elements), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mas Vilageliu, which is in a Bartonian marine horizon in the Vic-Manlleu Formation of Spain.
