Cyclostremella

Gastropoda - Heterostropha - Pyramidellidae

Discussion

Jack seems to have mixed two different Cyclostromella: Cyclostremella Tate (a Rissonoid) and Cyclostromella Bush (a heterobranch). The former has a fossil record going well back into the Cenozoic, whereas the latter does not.

Taxonomy
Cyclostremella was named by Tate (1898) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-u R]. It is extant.

It was corrected as Cyclostromella by Weisbord (1962); it was synonymized subjectively with Lodderia by Vaught et al. (1989).

It was assigned to Gastropoda by Tate (1898); to Vitrinellidae by Weisbord (1962); to Pyramidellidae by Hickman (1980); and to Heterostrophia by Sepkoski (2002).
