Parasuchus angustifrons
Taxonomy
Francosuchus angustifrons was named by Kuhn (1936). Its type specimen is BSPG 1931 X 502, a partial skull (Skull lacking snout), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ebrach, bed number 9, which is in a Carnian lacustrine sandstone in the Hassberge Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Paleorhinus angustifrons by Stocker and Butler (2013) and Butler et al. (2014); it was considered a nomen dubium by Hunt and Lucas (1991); it was recombined as Parasuchus angustifrons by Kammerer et al. (2016).
