Taxonomy
Parapachydiscus rogeri was named by Marshall (1926). Its type specimen is GNS CE.1020 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is N28/f626, Bull's Point, Kaipara Harbour, which is in a Piripauan/Haumurian marine horizon in the Otamatea Formation of New Zealand.
It was recombined as Pachydiscus (Pachydiscus) rogeri by Henderson (1970).
