Apachesuchus heckerti

Taxonomy
Apachesuchus heckerti was named by Spielmann and Lucas (2012). Its type specimen is NNMNH P-31100, an osteoderm (left dorsal paramedian osteoderm), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is NMMNH L-4211, Apache Canyon, which is in a Norian channel lag conglomerate/mudstone in the Redonda Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Apachesuchus.
