Sampo transversa

Taxonomy
Sampo transversa was named by Cocks (2014) [= Sampo cf. ruralis Hiller 1980 p. 179 f. 272, 274-280]. Its type specimen is BC 59793, a valve (ventral valve internal mould), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry at Talfan Farm, west of Llanddowror, which is in a Cautleyan carbonate limestone in the Sholeshook Formation of the United Kingdom.
