Hesperornis mengeli
Taxonomy
Hesperornis mengeli was named by Martin and Lim (2002). Its type specimen is CFDC B.78.01.08, a set of limb elements (right tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Morden, CFDC site 8, which is in a Campanian marine shale/ash in the Pierre Shale Formation of Canada.
