Acutostrea simiensis

Taxonomy
Ostrea simiensis was named by Zinsmeister (1983). Its type specimen is UCR 6899/1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Meier Canyon, which is in a Thanetian open shallow subtidal conglomerate in the Simi Formation of California.

It was recombined as Acutostrea simiensis by Moore (1987).
