Taxonomy
Torontoceros hypogaeus was named by Churcher and Peterson (1982). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Toronto, Glacial Lake Iroquoi, which is in a Pleistocene lacustrine - large horizon in Canada. It is the type species of Torontoceros.
