Barbière et al. 2021A member of Reithrodontini characterised by the combination of the following traits: large incisors; large, robust and hypsodont molars; lingual accessory root of m1 undi- vided; anteromedian flexid absent or remaining as a shallow notch; procingulum of m1 with rhomboid shape; protoflexid of m1 closed as a lake with advanced wear; anterolabial cingulum on m1 short; hypoflexid of m2 smaller than in m3; m2 with three roots; m3 longer than m2; anterior border of zygomatic plate concave in the upper 2/3 and slightly convex in the lower third; premaxillary- maxillary suture slightly arched; palatine grooved at the junction with alveolar maxillary process; robust mandible with masseteric crest reaching the level of the anterior margin of m1.
