Semnopithecus natunae was named by Thomas and Hartert (1894). It is extant.

It was recombined as Presbytis melalophos natunae by Hooijer (1962); it was recombined as Presbytis natunae by Thomas and Harter (1894) and Burgin et al. (2018).
