Gallinuloides
Taxonomy
Gallinuloides was named by Eastman (1900). It is not extant. Its type is Gallinuloides wyomingensis. It is the type genus of Gallinuloididae.
It was assigned to Gallinuloidinae by Tordoff and Macdonald (1957); to Cracidae by Carroll (1988); and to Gallinuloididae by Hay (1902), Hay (1930), Lambrecht (1933), Wetmore (1940), Wetmore (1956), Wetmore (1960), Mayr and Weidig (2004) and Mayr (2009).
