Apatemys uintensis

Taxonomy
Stehlinius uintensis was named by Matthew (1921) ["genotype"]. Its type specimen is A.M. No. 1903, a partial skull (anterior portion of skull with part of the upper dentition, and the right ramus of the mandible with all teeth except P4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wagonhound Canyon (Uinta B2), which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah.

It was recombined as Stehlinella uintensis by Matthew (1929) and Gazin (1958); it was recombined as Apatemys uintensis by West (1973).
