Taxonomy
Pseudadjidaumo stirtoni was named by Lindsay (1972) [genotype]. Its type locality is Coon Canyon 5, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Barstow Formation of California. It is the type species of Pseudadjidaumo.
It was recombined as Leptodontomys stirtoni by Fahlbusch (1973), Engesser (1979) and Korth and Bailey (1992).
