Taxonomy
Parahodomys quadriplicatus was named by Hibbard (1941). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rexroad KU Locality 3, which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in the Rexroad Formation of Kansas.
It was recombined as Neotoma (Paraneotoma) quadriplicata by Hibbard (1967); it was recombined as Neotoma quadriplicata by Kurten and Anderson (1980), Dalquest (1983) and Tomida (1987).
