Proheteromys gremmelsi
Taxonomy
Proheteromys gremmelsi was named by Macdonald (1963). Its type specimen is SDSM 5574, a mandible (left ramus, with i-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sharps (SDSM V-5362), which is in a Geringian terrestrial horizon in the Sharps Formation of South Dakota.
