Velocipes guerichi
Taxonomy
Velocipes guerichi was named by Huene (1932) [originally "Velocipes gürichi"]. Its type specimen is Hamburg Institute, a set of limb elements, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kocury, which is in a Norian terrestrial horizon in the Lissauer Breccia Formation of Poland. It is the type species of Velocipes.
It was considered a nomen vanum by Welles (1984); it was considered a nomen dubium by Rauhut and Hungerbühler (2000) and Tykoski and Rowe (2004).
