Taxonomy
Conohyus was named by Pilgrim (1926) [emend. Colbert, 1933]. It is not extant. Its type is Conohyus simorrensis.
It was assigned to Suidae by Trofimov (1949); and to Tetraconodontinae by Mein and Ginsburg (1997), McKenna and Bell (1997) and Pickford and Gupta (2001).
