Bahinolophus birmanicus

Taxonomy
Chasmotherium birmanicum was named by Pilgrim (1925). Its type specimen is GSI C348, a mandible, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Thadut, Pondaung Sandstone, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial sandstone/siliciclastic in the Pondaung Formation of Myanmar. It is the type species of Bahinolophus.

It was recombined as Deperetella birmanicum by Colbert (1938); it was recombined as Deperetella birmanica by Tsubamoto et al. (2000); it was recombined as Bahinolophus birmanicus by Tsubamoto et al. (2005).
