Taxonomy
Dusisiren dewana was named by Takahashi et al. (1986) [Yamagata Prefectural Museum, no number listed]. Its type specimen is no number, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yoh Iron Bridge, which is in a Tortonian marine sandstone in the Hongo Formation of Japan.
