Saurophaganax maximus

Taxonomy
Saurophaganax maximus was named by Chure (1995). It is not extant. Its type specimen is OMNH 01123. Its type locality is Stovall's Pit 1, Kenton (OMNH V92), which is in a Kimmeridgian/Tithonian wet floodplain mudstone/sandstone in the Morrison Formation of Oklahoma.

It was recombined as Allosaurus maximus by Smith (1998), Smith (1998) and Rauhut (2003).
