Taxonomy

Gobiconodontidae was named by Jenkins and Schaff (1988). It is not extant. Its type is Gobiconodon.

It was assigned to Triconodonta by Jenkins and Schaff (1988); to Mammalia by Rougier et al. (2001); to Mammalia by Gao et al. (2010); and to Eutriconodonta by Cuenca-Bescós and Canudo (2003), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004), Martin et al. (2015), Kusuhashi et al. (2016) and Butler and Sigogneau-Russel (2016).

Synonyms

Repenomamidae was named by Li et al. (2000). It is not extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Gobiconodontidae by Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004).

It was assigned to Triconodonta by Hu et al. (2005).
