Wonambi naracoortensis
Taxonomy
Wonambi naracoortensis was named by Smith (1976). Its type specimen is SAM P16168, a set of vertebrae (a single trunk vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Victoria Fossil Cave, Main Fossil Chamber, which is in a Pleistocene cave siltstone in Australia. It is the type species of Wonambi.
