Taxonomy
Nodosaurinae was named by Abel (1919). It is not extant. Its type is Nodosaurus.

It was assigned to Acanthopholidae by Nopcsa (1923); and to Nodosauridae by Nopcsa (1929), Huene (1959), Sereno (1997), Sereno (1998), Sereno (1999) and Ford (2000).
